The ‘Gap Hunter’ Workshop

Find small profitable improvements: Fast. Easy. Measurable.

This workshop will identify small profitable gaps (inches) that make money, save money, and be more productive. Guaranteed. Participants will work through a simple and workable process to identify gaps, measure their impact in dollar terms and create a plan of action.

What you get.

  1. Identify small, profitable gaps (1%ers)
  2. Measure the gap’s value, find the best solution and create a ‘first step’ action
  3. Gain a powerful methodology to use again and again

Previous results.

Previous Gap Hunter Workshops have identified between $30,000 and $1,000,000 in hidden revenue and savings.

The Guarantee: 2 X ROI

If your participants don’t find at least twice the workshop investment in gaps, 2x ROI in potential opportunities, we refund the fee in full.

Some examples of profitable gaps

  • The ATO increased payments by 40% by changing a few words in their overdue notices.
  • A small restaurant in Port Macquarie added $30,000 to its bottom line by reducing plating time.
  • ANZ saved 5,000 tonnes of CO2 a year by removing the screensavers from their computers.

How it works: the Gap Action Plan

Every gap runs through one simple, one-page plan. What’s the gap? What’s the impact, and what’s it worth in dollars? What’s the fix? And what’s the first step, who owns it, and by when? Simple, measurable, and built to act on straight away.

Why it works

Across more than a decade of field research and hundreds of interviews with successful operators, one pattern held without exception: it’s the little things, done consistently, that make the biggest difference. The Gap Hunter turns that into a process your people can run themselves, one inch at a time.

A National Franchise Organisation

Challenge: To increase revenue and profit through small ideas and initiatives generated from staff and employees throughout the organisation, including retail outlets

Approach: Nigel implemented the Gap Hunter programme for the head office as a one-day workshop and then nationwide in each state as a half-day workshop. Gaps are identified. Viable solutions are generated, which were then quantified to measure potential profits

Result: The head office Gap Hunter session identified $1.06 million worth of hidden profit. The regional workshops, on average, identified $30,000 of potential hidden profit.
